Thoughts on Roundabouts

So I drive to work every day and we live really close to a university. Our street happens to have two traffic circles.  Or as the rest of humanity calls them roundabouts.  I have decided we should never have "modernized" and gone the way of the street light.  Roundabouts are so much quicker to get through and I never have to wait.  I'm a line and waiting snob obviously.  Sir Dennis served in England for his mission and he said that every traffic intersection is a roundabout.  He said he's even been through a round about that led into another roundabout.  Absolute madness.  In a great way.
On a slightly different topic.  Our new apartment.
Such an attractive picture I know. So our apartment seemed like a dream come true.  Close to everything, washer-dryer hook ups, cute door, paid for water, etc.  It has been less than a week since we've moved in and we have definitely moved into a fixer upper.  We are slowly discovering new (and exciting) problems.  Such as our cold leaks for our washer so badly we would get flooded if we didn't turn it off.  We have no dishwasher.  Our disposal leaks even worse than our washer. Oh and our fridge doesn't work.  So currently all of our refrigerated things are living outside because the porch is colder than the fridge. (Yay for a fairly cold winter.) We have no idea how to fix it. We have had a variety of other problems but we have figured those ones out slowly.
Still.  We are so thankful to be living on our own. We get a big apartment for us and at a pretty cheap price right in the middle of everything.
And those are my thoughts about roundabouts

(Digression. I read an article that it is improper to double space after sentances.  I was taught to do that by a grammar Nazi and the hell I'm going to change it.  I think he is wrong and misled. I will double space till the end of time. Because in elementary school you are taught there is a slightly bigger space between sentences than there is between words.  Therefore.  Double space.  Bam.)
